Just to give you an idea who is on the other end of this contact form…let me tell you a little about myself.
“Seeking meaning through experience” has never been as real for me as in June 2014 when myself and Kouji Hara, Japanese expedition sea kayaking instructor, laid our calloused hands the deck of our red and white tandem expedition kayak, forcing it into the cold waters of the East Asian Sea and beginning, what would become, the first sea kayaking expedition to cross the East Asian Sea between Japan and South Korea.
Since that day over two years ago, I went from a full-time English teacher living abroad in Japan, with dreams as large as any of the buildings in my small town of Yamaguchi, to a sponsored expedition athlete. It was only a short time after that I left my job to fulfill the dream of a second unsupported solo expedition; however, I soon learned that not only the ocean called me, but also the nooks and crannies of far-away cities and distant cultures which I have had the pleasure of experiencing.
This blog is my attempt to carry you with me through my attempt to squeeze every last drop of meaning out of this grand play we call Life. It will be filled with anecdotes and advice, both for the new travelers and the worn-boots type as well.
I hope you enjoy and don’t forget to DROP ME A LINE using the form below.
